Are you a CHED TES TDP scholar? When does this RA take effect?

The CHED-TES Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Development Program (TES TDP) is not a law (RA) but rather a scholarship program. It is a component of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), which was established by Republic Act No. 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

The TES TDP aims to assist students enrolled in select TVET programs in private higher education institutions (HEIs) and is managed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Republic Act No. 10931, which created the TES program, was signed into law on August 3, 2017, and it took effect on the academic year 2018-2019. The CHED-TES TDP operates under this law’s framework.
