TES Application for AY 2026-2027 is Now Open!

The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program is a government initiative that provides financial assistance to deserving students enrolled in state universities and colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized local universities and colleges (LUCs), and private higher education institutions (HEIs).

To proceed, eligible individuals should complete the provided Google Form. This initial step will assess your qualifications. The deadline to submit the form is July 30, 2026.

📚 Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES): AY 2026-2027

  • Program Type: TES is a grant-in-aid program to help support the cost of tertiary education.
  • Availability: It is offered in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
  • Status: Applications for AY 2026-2027 are NOW OPEN in many institutions (subject to individual school and regional UniFAST office schedules, which may vary).

✅ Eligibility and Ineligibility

The requirements are maintained in accordance with RA 10931 and UniFAST guidelines:

Who is Eligible?

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Must be enrolled in programs included in the CHED Registry in SUCs, CHED-recognized LUCs, or Private HEIs.
  • Must not have a previous undergraduate degree.
  • Must not have overstayed in the program (i.e., not exceeding the program’s normal duration + a 1-year grace period).

Who is Ineligible?

  • Current Scholarship Grantees: Students who are already recipients of any local, national, government, or privately funded scholarships, including but not limited to:
    • Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)
    • Tulong Dunong Program (TDP)
    • CHED Merit / CHED Scholarship Programs (CSPs)
    • CHED – Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs)
    • DOST Scholarship
    • COSCO Scholarship
  • Second Degree Enrollees: Students currently enrolled in a second undergraduate or post-secondary program.
  • Disqualified Applicants: Students who have submitted falsified or altered documents.

🥇 Prioritization for Allocation (AY 2026-2027)

Slots are prioritized, with continued emphasis on students from low-income households:

  1. Listahanan: Students part of the most updated Listahanan (DSWD’s National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction) for all SUCs, LUCs, and Private HEIs.
  2. 4Ps: Students included in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), ranked according to household per capita income.
  3. Other Poor Students/PNSL: The remaining slots are allocated to other poor students in Private HEIs, including those enrolled in Private Non-Sectarian HEIs (PNSLs) in areas with no SUC/LUC.

💰 Benefits (Anticipated for AY 2026-2027)

Based on UniFAST’s established guidelines and the amounts being announced by HEIs for AY 2026-2027, the financial assistance per student remains:
