Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) is a four-year program that equips students with the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to optimize complex systems. By combining engineering principles with management science, industrial engineers design, improve, and manage integrated systems involving people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. The curriculum encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects including operations research, systems analysis, manufacturing processes, quality control, ergonomics, supply chain management, and human factors. Through rigorous academic training and practical experience, BSIE graduates become skilled in applying quantitative methods, data analysis, and simulation to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall system performance.

The objectives of the BSIE program are to:

  • Provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of industrial engineering.
  • Develop students’ problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Prepare students for careers in industrial engineering or for graduate study in industrial engineering.
  • Promote students’ understanding of the impact of industrial engineering on society.
  • Encourage students to become lifelong learners.

Graduates of the BSIE program will be able to:

  • Apply the principles of industrial engineering to solve problems in a variety of settings.
  • Design and implement efficient processes.
  • Manage people and resources effectively.
  • Communicate effectively about industrial engineering.
  • Work effectively in teams.
